The global brand for HSBC Private Bank changed on 9 February 2009. The re-brand is the culmination of a review of our marketing and communications globally.  The new brand is a clear statement of our capabilities, culture and commitment to our clients.

We believe our new brand is a reflection of who we are and what we have to offer our clients.  As 'the world’s private bank’ we are naturally able to provide bespoke services across a truly global network of 96 offices in 43 countries.
 
But HSBC Private Bank is more than just an international bank with a diverse geographical footprint. Being ‘the world’s private bank’ is more about our ability to provide real insight with a global mindset that best serves our clients’ individual needs. It is about having the people with the expertise and connections to open doors to information that can reveal new opportunities.

What does it mean for our clients?


For existing clients the change in the brand serves to emphasise the international skills we have available to meet the challenges of their individual wealth management requirements.  A new advertising campaign will be the first opportunity for many to see the refreshed brand.  The campaign features experiences from around the world, where we have delivered excellence for our clients.  These stories demonstrate how we go beyond simply meeting the needs of the transaction or client request and it sets the standard for our clients.

For those that don’t know us so well, we believe the change will provide greater clarity and understanding of our market standing, global reach and the capabilities we have on offer.  As part of the HSBC Group, we look to develop opportunities for our clients wherever they may arise. In particular, the new brand is a manifestation of the ways in which we are able to link local needs with international opportunities. 

How do we do this?  Through our ability to harness the skills and expertise available – not just within the Private Bank – but from our connections with the entire HSBC Group and international specialists.

Why change the brand now?


The change to the brand has been carefully planned over the past year. It is the result of a prudent long-term strategy which has seen HSBC Private Bank become a significant global presence in the wealth management market. It is a natural progression of our aims to develop and enhance the award-winning service we provide for our clients.

More fundamentally, it is a statement of the confidence that we have in ourselves to deliver a superior service, regardless of the economic climate. We believe this is a positive move which shows we are always here for our clients both in good times as well as bad times.
