A team of delegates from HSBC presented on Shariah-compliant investment instruments, investment opportunities and emerging markets.
Delegate Nadia Chamont, Associate Director at HSBC Private Bank, said: “HSBC recognises the importance of women in the world and in the Middle East, and has been involved with women in business through its participation in several conferences and its organisation in various locations.
“As the most widely represented international bank in the region, and one of the world’s largest financial services organisations, we believe we are in a unique position to respond to their financial needs and aspirations. Through our presentations we sought to highlight the various Shariah-compliant solutions available to women in business in the Middle East region.”
Nadia Chamont made the opening speech, focusing on HSBC Private Bank’s role in the region and its role within the context of women in business. Dr Mohamed Abdel-Haq, Managing Director of HSBC Amanah Private Banking, continued with a discussion on the Islamic services and products offered by HSBC, while Catherine Blanc, Director of Emerging Markets for HSBC Private Bank in Switzerland, focussed on emerging markets and investments as asset classes. Valérie Jaudier, Associate Director for Discretionary Multimanager Services in Switzerland, presented the Islamic Strategic Investment Solution service.
Formed in 1998, HSBC Private Bank’s Ladies Marketing Team has further strengthened HSBC’s involvement in providing advisory financial services and products to ladies in the Middle East. Over the past years HSBC Private Bank and HSBC Bank Middle East have consistently demonstrated their commitment to women of the Arab world, and to the women of Bahrain in particular, by providing them with training and support. |
