HSBC Private Bank appoints new global head of Private Wealth Solutions

HSBC Private Bank has announced the appointment of Bernard Rennell, as Global Head of Private Wealth Solutions, HSBC Private Bank's trust and estate planning service. The position has been created as Declan Sheehan steps back from heading up the Private Wealth Solutions globally to concentrate wholly on his expanding regional role as Chief Executive of HSBC Private Bank in the UK & Channel Islands.

Bernard joined HSBC Private BankĀ five years ago as head of Private Wealth Solutions, Asia, following the acquisition of Bank of Bermuda. Prior to this, he was Asia Pacific Head of Bank of Bermuda's Private Wealth Services.

Bernard is also a past Chairman of the Hong Kong Trustees' Association, founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, has served as member of the Financial Services Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and serves on the advisory boards of a number of public and private charitable and philanthropic foundations.
